California

Hello Hello. So, this is a bit out of order, but I need to back up a bit and send some photos from California. We have actually been finding it pretty difficult to get computer time in internet cafes where that will allow us to upload photos on this site. So, as an alternative, for you viewing pleasure, I will provide a link to show you all the photos we took in California. Most of these pictures are from Temecula, which is the wine country that we visited while we were there. It was a really lovely area of California and we had a wonderful day. We went with Sarah, Kinsey, Kinsey's lovely mom (Judy), and Kinsey's brother's girlfriend (Sonya) who we kidnapped on the way up there and made her come with us:)

Hope all is well with everyone out there. There will be more soon about England and Scotland!

THE LINK DIDN'T WORK...I WILL HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER WAY:) SORRY ABOUT THAT GUYS.

Going Ape!

April 9th
So, Shane and I went to what they referred to as a "high risk" activity called "Go Ape". This is the group that we went swinging through the trees with (Jason, Shane, me, Susie in front, Lydia, Hannah and Dan.) These are all Susie's wonderful friends here in the Forrest of Dean. Go Ape is a ropes course high up in the trees of the Royal Forrest of Dean, England. I was really really not excited about going seeing as I am scared of heights and all...but Shane was excited of course.

As you can see from this photo, I am not too excited about this activity.

However, Shane was a pro!

Here are Shane and Susie doing quite well on their 2 courses. I was much more focused and slow. I did tend to take the "easier routes" and I skipped the Big jump at the end.

And here comes Shane in for a crash landing(heehee) I won't even tell you how ridiculous my landings were! This was, however, the only part of the day that I enjoyed. The zip wires were great!

And here is Shane having a good ole time and Susie hugging a tree. Gives a new meaning to tree huggers. She was also a bit scared of heights, but unlike me, she enjoys being scared. I mean, REALLY, look how high this is!! Overall, the day was a combination of adrenaline, nerves and fear for me, but I made it through and survived. Shane was a picture of calm and took every risk possible, along with the other boys. "No hands!" "Run across as fast as you can!" "Do it on one foot with no hands!" and other silly things could be heard being shouted amid the trees throughout the day.

First Stop: L.A.

Left Georgia on April 4th and stayed in LA until the 7th...
So, here we are...on our way! Our first stop is L.A. so we can visit two of my friends from college, Kinsey and Sarah.
We arrived at the airport in Atlanta yesterday 4 hours early...I think mom must have wanted to get rid of us or something:) We waited around and when we finally boarded the plane, we sat next to a guy who I was SURE was Chris O'Donnell. However, he adamantly denied that he was, so I was a bit disappointed. We had a small delay when there was a medical emergency on the plane and we had to turn around and go back to the gate. After that, all was smooth sailing though. Once we were airborn, Shane and I managed to sleep for the first 3 hours of the flight, which evidently made the flight attendant super happy. When we woke up, she insisted on getting us all the drinks and snacks we had missed. She told us we were the best passengers on the plane.
Once we arrived, Sarah scooped us up and jetted us back to her place where we chilled out and made plans for the next couple days. Tomorrow we are going to spend the day touring around an area about an hour from here called Temecula. It is a really popular wine country. The photos look beautiful, and we are pretty excited to see something besides the buildings in L.A. We will post some pictures soon...
