So, you guys might be wondering about my choice of headlines for this post...this has become Shane's favorite reply to any question I ask him about why he knows or says certain things. For example: Shane: "We should turn down this street" Mac: "How do you know, Shane" Shane: "Cause I'm a freakin genius!!"
In Glasgow from April 17th to the 19th...
Anyway, on to the next part of our journey... We left London in high spirits, but a little exhausted from having to wake up at 3am to catch the shuttle to the airport. We arrived at London Stansted airport and waited for our first RyanAir flying experience (that will mean more to some than others..Chris & Euan) We flew into Glasgow Scotland and had to take a train to the city center. We had no trouble finding the hostel we were supposed to stay in...the Euro Hostel. We said silent prayers that it would be better than the hole of hostel we had stayed in in London. We arrived and were instantly impressed with the friendly reception (if you remember...London's was awful!!!) We ended up getting a private room for less than a dorm room price (for those of you unfamiliar with hostels...that's AWESOME!!!) My roomie from Korea knows the reservations manager at the hostel and she was lovely enough to give us a discount. So, for 2 days we had our own room and bathroom to ourselves! That is a VERY big deal!
Glasgow was not so impressive. If I had gone there on a short holiday and could have done some shopping, it would have been great, but since we can't really shop, there wasn't much else to see and do. There were a few tourist attractions, but that was a one day event.
I met up with my friend, David, both nights we were there and he was great at showing us around at night.
So, after 2 days, we decided to take a bus to Edinburgh...and what a treat that was!!!! Edinburgh that is...not the bus experience. You see, in the UK they have this wonderfully cheap bus called the Megabus. However, the catch is that they don't except N. American credit cards and you can only book tickets online. All the other buses are about 3 times the prices. So, luckily, David booked our ticket for us and we gave him cash.
Okay, that's all for now. I will post about Edinburgh and the highlands soon. And if I ever find a place to let me upload pictures...I will:)

I notice that there are no photos from your time in Glasgow. I can only assume that is because you look a bit rough in some of those photos because i know for a fact that i looked bloody stunning... if you had more days you could have seen
The beautiful botanic gardens.
The live music bonanza that is Glasgow.
The wonder of largs (WHERE THE VIKINGS INVADED SCOTLAND AND GOT THEIR ASSES HANDED TO THEM... PUSSIES!)
